Mshta.exe virus Help!!!?
Ive been getting this windows 7 style update popup when i have windows 10. when i trace it back through task manger to the file location it leads me to this file. link for screenshot. Ive also ran windows defender and malware bytes and nothing is found. Ive even scanned this file alone on both.

The screenshot is actually not helpful; I expected to see the "update popup" or the Task Manager information you mentioned. Because Mshta.exe is a protected system file, the chance of the System32 or SysWOW64 copies being infected with or replaced by a virus is very low. If you are still concerned, however, visit https://virustotal.com/ and click Choose File, then select the suspect file and click Scan It.
Assuming that the popup is bogus (adware?), then you'll need to do a little detective work to determine how Mshta.exe is being launched, and to remove the file Mshta.exe is processing.
