How do I get over my fear of Thunderstorms?

PLEASE ANSWER!!!! I've been scared of Thunderstorms all my life ever since I was a baby. I'm not scared that I will be struck by lighting but I'm still scared of the thunder and lightning. If the lightning is small and the thunder will be soft which is fine but if the lightning is very big the thunder will be very loud which I'm very scared of. Whenever I see big lightning or hear loud thunder during Thunderstorms. I scream and I ran up to my mom and dad. How do I get over my fear of big Thunderstorms?
