Is internet explorer a good search engine (Windows 7)?
If it is just a browser and not a search engine, why would I need it. I keep getting a little window asking me if I want to make IE my browser. Can;t see how that would help me. Should I just say no.

I think you are saying that you keep getting a message asking you if you want to make IE you default browser............
IE explorer is junk..... I personally use google chrome and based on my experience, it's the best one..... It's quick, simple, and very to-the-point........
When you are asked if you want to set your default browser to IE, say "NO".......... Dont worry, it's ok.....

internet explorer is a browser. You may use any search engine with any browser.

IE is NOT a search engine. IE is a web browser that you can use with search engines. Search engines are something like: Google, Yahoo, MS Bing, MSN, DuckDuckGo and so on.
