How can I retrieve deleted photos on my Motorola Droid?

I had 2 photos in an album that I also had it hidden so other people can t see it. The app I have my photos in was the Gallery app I downloaded from Google play. This morning I was going to unhide it to see if they re still there but now they re gone. I went into my Google photos, not there. I downloaded 2 apps from Google play to possibly retrieve it and even asked to show hidden files. Nothing. I turned the phone off and turned it back on, nothing. I don t remember deleting them, they just disappeared. I ve had these photos for almost 2 months and now they re gone. I m really sad and disappointed because they mean something to me. Is there any way possible to get them back? What if I plug my phone into my PC? Or are they gone for good? Thanks!!
