How to view files that are hidden on external hard drive?

    The same way you do for internal one. View, Options, again "View" in the folder options box, and check "Show hidden files, folders, and drivers".

    Right-click the “Start” button > select “Control Panel“ > Go to “Appearance and Personalization“ > select “File Explorer Options“ > Click the “View” tab > Scroll down a bit and change the “Hidden files and folders” setting to “Show hidden files, folders, and drives“.
