If you file for unemployment and are out of work for several weeks, but then find a job, can you still collect?

I am wondering whether, if I find a job while I'm waiting on unemployment, I will still be paid for the weeks I was not working. I am in MA. I have been out of work since July 2, with one four hour shift on July 13.

I'm wondering, if I were to find a job next month, I would be able to collect later for the weeks I wasn't working.

Of course not. That would be fraud. When you get a job, inform them immediately.

Yes. You will not receive it for any weeks that you did work.

the unemployment claim would be processed to cover the period of time you were actually unemployed.

There is a waiting period of one or two weeks where you don't get paid unemployment, but yes, after that waiting period you would receive money for the other weeks you were not working.
