    You're supposed to get quotes from car repair garages in your area. Prices differ around the country.

    this is probably a UK question and you'll be better off getting quotes from shops over there. here in the U.S depending on car it can run anywhere between 900-1.500 dollars

    The cost of not replacing it is risking a ruined engine.
