    Rip tides or sharks. Rip tides I can deal with, I'm a good swimmier, but there is no way I can out swim a Great White..

    Rip tides, undertow, algae blooms, industrial pollution, sewage overflow, jellyfish, sharks...

    I've been to beaches closed for every one of those things, all in the US.

    Rip currents from a bad storm that came through earlier. It's no longer raining but the sea is too rough.
