Should I get carpet flooring in my living room?

If you want carpet, have carpet. Who cares if it isn't the "done thing".

Pros:

Soft and warm underfoot.

Quietens the sound in the room.

Hides dust better than a bare floor!

Cons:

Will need regular vacuum and cleaning - more time than sweeping a floor.

Get what you like. I dislike carpet because I have pets.

you can't take it with you if you move
