It's probably more of a society/school thing than specifically an all girls catholic school thing. I can't imagine a public school would allow girls to practice in sports bras with no shirt.

Society still has this backwards way of thinking that is "If a woman wears something revealing, a man will see her and have uncontrollable urges and ultimately it's the woman's fault".

Quit your whining, I played football in high school and we practiced in the same hot weather and wore pads and helmets. Girls just aren't tough enough for sports I guess.
