Why does everyone hate EPL teams, specifically Manchester United?

Man United fans are delusional and annoying,

they always hype up their team and any player they buy, they expect to win the league every season and their new players are always "world class" whilst they deny genuinely class players on other teams, they just think they're so good and it's annoying because they're pretty mediocre and have been for a few years

they spent years constantly condemning other clubs spending, yet now they spend more than anyone in the PL and have no problem with it at all

they try and make out like they're some club that relies on youth and coaching progression, but they produce hardly any good players

They're extremely smug and arrogant in victory (which is thankfully a rarity these days) But last season after they won their first three games they were talking non-stop trash

They spent years condemning Liverpool fans for living in the past, yet they also constantly bring up the past when talking to Chelsea or Spurs fans for example, everyone else is a "small club" even if they're miles above them in the league

They were known for getting dodgy refereeing decisions

the media love them and they get a disproportionate amount of coverage compared to teams like Spurs and Man City who've been doing better iin recent years

They're constantly linked with every player under the sun, and the fans will believe any rumour they hear, Ronaldo, Bale, Muller, Neymar, Lewandowski, they're always "just about to sign" for united

That's just a few reasons United are so hated, but the list could go on, every team is hated but Man United fans seem to complain about it the most

Not everyone hates EPL teams; that's called a fallacy. There are plenty of Prem fans and Man United fans on here. Besides the only team I hate is Chelsea.

The rivalry between Scousers & Mancunians goes way back in history, indeed the rivalry between Leeds (remember them?), and Manx goes way back to the battle of the Roses between the respective counties of Lancs and Yorks, so it goes way beyond football....that aside there are obviously other reasons..

Liverpool being top dog during half the 70's and most of the 80's, and then Manx taking the mantle for part of 80's 90's and some of the 2000's....

Most of the users on here are all in one way or another aligned to a Prem giant, even the Americans, there are only a few fans which support the lower clubs, and they are mainly the ones who ask sensible questions

Of course nobody else on here really knows who anybody else is, they don't really know if they are primarily here to troll, or if they are a passionate fan, if they are an extremely partizan, and against every other club, as if akin to a war situation, Or maybe they just feel some teams don't play good football and don't deserve success, which i confess is one of my main gripes

also it's not just EPL teams that get critizesed if your a regular user you can't be blind to the constant bashing of LA Liga the silly phrase "publiga" comes up so often, and usually without any real verification or reasoning, so it's logical the fans of those leagues and teams are going to fight back, in fact i would wager that any successful side be it English or not is going to come in for extreme critism and insult, it goes with the terrritory and like it or not it's the nature of the beast, some Americans won't understand this just as they clearly don't or don't want to recognise the name of the game is Football, which is my pet gripe on these forums especially as over 25% of the questions are from ignorant Americans who can't even understand what the game is called and why it should be called football...I could carry on for ages but i'[ll leave it there...

Prem fans are extremely arrogant, they call the PL the best league in the world, or more often criticize La Liga for being "crap" they constantly insult Real Madrid and even Barcelona, you can see it in Monny's question about Neymar when he says he only played well in a "crap league".

But the truth is, La Liga is the better league, Real Madrid and Barcelona are miles better than any prem team, Spanish teams dominate the Champions League and Europa League. PL teams spend massive amounts of money and can't even compete with teams from the French League, yet then they take shots at La Liga who have been on top for years.

So it's always funny rubbing it in their stupid arrogant faces when their overrated teams fail yet again, but it seems like no matter how badly they fail they never ever gain any respect or humility. They'll insult La Liga even though we all know RM, Barca and Atleti would win the PL easily, whereas Chelsea, Spurs or United would have no chance of winning La Liga if they were in it.

As for all PL's talk about commercialism and popularity, I'm a soccer fan (I always say Soccer to troll Eurofags) not a business or accountancy fan, Soccer is about winning trophies not attracting fans or sponsorship deals.

because they spend too much money and underachieve and then one United fan says they'll win the league which makes every EFS user think all United fans are like that. and of course each fan thinks their club is going to win the league, and of course their opinion is always correct so therefore they have to make sure fans of other clubs know that they are stupid.

You're seriously asking why Manchester United receives hate? Welp that's me logging out for the day.

I really don't know. It seems a lot of the Manchester United stuff is just jealousy. Probably the same when it's about the epl as a whole. Because it's labelled as the best league in the world. Even if it's not anymore that's the tag it has earned and that's the tag that helps it sell. People also seem to believe the best league has to have the best teams, it really doesn't. So you have Real Madrid fans for example saying there's no way EPL is the best league because of the lack of success of its teams in Europe in recent years. It has nothing to do with that those points are irrelevant. Personally do I think EPL is the best league in the world? I think yes. Do I think the best teams in the world are in that league? No. Although I think that'll change this season with English clubs having good runs in the CL. I don't think I can say yet that am English team will win it. The big teams on the continent will always be favourites against teams from England for now.
