That's logical. People, however, are emotional, greedy critters. Probably any politician who proposed it would be ostracized then booted out of office.

Actually less people have children these days.

We live in the age where people care more for themselves and for their job and are okay with not having children.

We also have a wide range of birth control, there's more lesbians and gays.

It's just people that can afford to live an expensive lifestyle because they don't have kids are causing globle warming.

Because having babies is not the cause of global warming. Its the creation of carbon dioxide by overuse of petroleum products and coal and the fact that industry is more interested in making money than they are about maintaining a planet that will support life.

That's not politically correct now. It throws too much blame on protected cultures. The ones spewing babies to the point of impoverishing themselves and their societies, and/or churning out pollutants, are the darlings of todays ruling progressive and socialist intellectual elite. It is politically correct to keep the blame on wealthy exploiters taking advantage of the hordes of ultra cheap desperate labor swamping their own market with the grown babies they spewed. Ironically only the Chinese communist ruling elite had recognized their problem but pulled back on the one-baby rule when they educated their huge hordes of cheap labor to take over the world's economies.

That would only work in a western country. The USA would stop having babies but the entire rest of the world would not. America is only 5% of the world population.
