Look at the history of Afghanistan for several hundred years. Nobody has actually "won" in Afghanistan.

Obama started pulling military forces out of Afghanistan and Iraq long before Trump became president. Obamas overal goal was to limit U.S. Ground forces to around 5,000 personal by the end of his term. These 5,000 troops are to train Iraqi and Afghan defense forces and help give very limited combat support. So far it is working though difficult due to ISIS activities.

That place is a shithole not worth fighting for. It should be carpet bombed one or twice a week.

Trump isn't in a war - it's easy for them politicians to declare or participate the country in the battkes of war though would they grab weapons to go to war - i think not

I hope Trump doesn't cave to the generals and keep the futile fight going.
