Can anyone answer my Google Play Store question?

Their fine to download. Best thing to do is to look at the reviews and see how they are. If alot of good responses its reasonable enough to download, but if their lot of bad reviews and such itd be best not to download. Best to have an anti virus on phone just to be 100 percent sure. A good one is Hornet Anti Virus. Cause it scans the apps before you use them

    Generally safe.

However, there have been apps that are viruses and/or contain viruses.

It's best to download apps that are well known. As long as you don't download random apps, don't worry too much about it.

And of course if you see Apple apps like iMessage, FaceTime, Safari, etc it is a scam because Apple doesn't support those apps on Android. There are some legitimate Apple apps on the Play Store, though.
