I have a 50cc scooter that has trouble idling.?

I replaced the carb and spark plug checked the petcock it is delivering fuel. The bike works sometimes then when i try to adjust the idle it will idle slower and slower until it stalls. Any ideas what the issue is? Want to get this bike running for my customer. I even did a valve adjustment and still runs the same as with the other carb. It has spark too. Air filter is clean.

    Maybe the mixture screw on the carburetor has to be adjusted.

    Check the air box intakes - or run the engine with the air box cover off.

    Check the cylinder compression.

    Check for valve leakage - perform a cylinder leak down test.
