Why is it considered rude to ask people not to touch you?

    It is NOT rude to say that, some folks just DON'T like touchy , feely folks.

    I really don't think that's rude. You should have the right to decide who you want touching your body.

    Maybe to them It's as if you called them dirty or unworthy. I don't like ppl touching me but when I instinctually jerk away or tell them stop theyre offended. To some ppl, touching is a way of showing affection and friendship. If you deny this It's like denying a bond.
