Does being a libertarian mean your right-wing?

I've always thought being a libertarian meant you were right wing because right wing can mean small government. I advocate for small government even out of social life because I'm an atheist libertarian as well. I'm socially liberal and economically right wing against the left wing and SJW's.

Political beliefs are not easily mapped to a left-right spectrum. It is much easier to make sense of all the political science babble when two dimensions are used. One axis is economic freedom (taxes, trade, etc.) and the other is personal freedom (drugs, abortion, military conscription, etc.).

From the Nolan Chart, you'll see that Libertarians are not right wing. They have more in common with Centrists.

You are a moderate conservative, that is the meaning of Libertarian. You uphold the constitutional rights of all citizens and legal immigrants. You are not on the extreme end, so you wouldn't be considered 'right wing' really.

No. Right wing does not mean small government. Right wing means less government regulation of business and less government spending on social things, but more government spending on the military and usually more government regulation of what can be done with the human reproductive system (abortion, homosexuality, etc.), which is not a libertarian position.

Being libertarian means you're right-wing on issues where liberals favor more government, but left-wing on issues where conservatives favor more government.

No, it's classic liberalism. That, oddly, is considered conservative these days but not right wing.

Basically, Libertarians ARE considered Right Wing. By the way, I have issues with Southern Jehovah's Witnesses, as well. They KEEP knocking at the door.
