Am I overthinking or is he being insecure ?

Today is my birthday and My boyfriend had to work on my birthday so we decided to celebrate this weekend instead of today. So I decided instead of spending the day alone I'd invite my best friend over for a couple of drinks to help celebrate my day. I texted my bestfriend this morning and asked her to come over around 5 so we could cook dinner and have a few drinks etc. At around 4:30 it began raining really hard and lightening and thundering so I decided to text my best friend and tell her "don't worry about coming because of the weather "

but instead of texting that to my bestfriend I accidentally sent that text to my boyfriend . And after I realized I sent that to him not my bestfriend I texted him back a minute later and said "I'm sorry hun that text was meant for someone else" so while he was on break he texted me "so who was that text meant for" then seconds later he sent another text that said "I thought you weren't going anywhere today" then two minutes later he sent "I guess you are ignoring me now"

I finally read all the text messages he sent and responded "I'm not going anywhere ... I was going to get my friend and bring her over but the rain isn't letting up and no I'm not ignoring you .. what's wrong ?"

He replied " Nothing i was just asking thats all sorry"

Tl;DR: I feel as though he's being insecure but then again I don't know if maybe I'm overthinking.
