What would make a computer shut-off only after accessing one website?

The computer only shuts off after accessing a Wal-Mart page. The computer I'm using is basically fine otherwise, The Wal-Mart site is the only problem. I am still using Windows XP, and I wonder if that has anything to do with the issue. Prior to this issue, I was regularly shopping on the Wal-Mart website also. Every time it shuts off after going to a Wal-Mart page, a dialogue box that states "The system has recovered from a serious error."

Has anybody heard of a similar situation? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Thomas

Reset your browser. Remove all browser add-ons. Try a different browser. How can you see a message after the computer shuts off? It seems more that a system error or browser error is occurring rather than a shut off.

That's weird - but not too weird.

I'll suggest that you install Firefox or Chrome, and use that instead of Internet Explorer.
