if you want something fairly simple the take a look at

VideoPad Video Editor by NCH Software, > http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html

A free video editor version is available for non-commercial use only.

If you will be using it at home

you can download the free version here > http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/vpsetup.exe

    or.

    HitFilm Express > https://hitfilm.com/express

is the free version of the popular combined editing and visual effects software package HitFilm Pro.

It is fairly limited compared to the Pro version,

but the modular pricing system means you only have to pay for the bits you really need.

    (used by professional film makers)

Like these people said, Windows Movie Maker. YouTube Editor is being removed soon, I used to use that and it was really good but now I use WMM and it's so awesome! You can also get a cracked version of Sony Vegas Pro 14 but in my opinion it's too complicated!

Windows Movie Maker? All can be used for free. When it asks for a key just turn off your wifi and put in a fake key
