Off-page SEO will help make your website popular on the internet, so you can get more visibility. With the on-page techniques we can get visibility in search engines.

It usually depends on marketing or optimizing your website. If you need so hurry to rank you should be using Google Adwords Campaign. But if you make High PR backlinks, you will go top soon.

Make your site user friendly as well as search engine friendly.

Apply best practices. Add unique and informative content, make informative and unique meta tags for all the pages.

Ensure images are not bulky, if they are optimize them. Add bread crumb. Do proper categorization of product or categories. Block unnecessary pages by robots.txt file. Make sitemap xml file and submit it into Google and Bing webmsters.

If you're an SEO executive, you're supposed to know these things, or at the very least have some staff who do working under you that you can ask.

There's the quick way of doing it, which increases the site visitors, but doesn't necessarily increase the number of people buying stuff or clicking on adverts on the website:

    http://www.webdesignchitchat.co.uk/get-web-traffic...

    (Trust me, I've tried it)

Then there's pay pay click search engine marketing, more commonly known as "Google AdWords" + "Bing Ads" + "Facebook Ads" + "Twitter Ads", etc..... which also works, but can also end up being seriously ****ing expensive with minimal results if you don't first consult guides such as "Google Adwords for Dummies" or "Pay per Click Search Engine Marketing for Dummies" + similar books to learn how to do it properly first.

Then there's social media...... driving traffic to the site through presence on sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc..... with links back to your site from the posts made to social media.

If you have to ask this on Yahoo Answers, you are not an SEO executive., as this is a very basic task.
