    Yes. Are you thinking of Hurricane Irma? That's crossing the Atlantic islands in the Caribbean and approaching Florida. The Galapagos Islands are off south America, in the Pacific. The iguana there may be large, but remember they are aquatic lizards and not alligators or crocodiles.
