No. Their defense is terrible. The Western Conference competition has improved whereas the Lakers have not.

I'm afraid they probably won't this year. They haven't fully developed and they are still pretty inexperienced, and to add to that: The western conference is insanely stacked this year, and I don't think they are good enough to be competing with teams like the Warriors, Spurs, Rockets, Thunder, Timberwolves, Grizzlies, Pelicans (IF the Cousins-Davis-Rondo trio works well.), and the Clippers. I hope I'm wrong and they make the playoffs (I'm a Lakers fan.)

I highly doubt it, there's a lot of competition for playoff spots, and frankly, the Lakers don't have the talent or experience to beat out teams like the Nuggets, Trailblazers, and Jazz

Where are those extra 16 wins just to get to the 8 seed going to come from? I don't see that much improvement.

The Western Conference is way too Tough. There's another Teams has gotten Better like The Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves. Denver Nuggets and Much more.
