Stainless steel waterbottle with a rubber straw that can hold hot liquids?
I was looking at the Contigo Ashland one until I saw that it says not to put hot liquids in it. I assume that this is because of the rubber straw.
However, I really like rubber straws. I'm not a fan of the hard plastic ones. I'm a straw biter when I drink from them.
Is there a waterbottle with a rubber straw that can keep both hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold for hours? I would like to put hot chocolate in it during the winter and cold water in other seasons.
Or could I buy the Contigo Ashland waterbottle and make my hot chocolate in there, then just wait for it to cool down before I put the lid on and drink?

I put hot cocoa or hot tea in my metal bottle.
It does not have a straw but the straw part should not matter much.
Unless the container you are talking about is a double wall, insulated one the metal containers get pretty hot. I put mine in a sock to protect my hands. (also great with iced drinks as the sock absorbs the condensation.)
You could hold off on the straw and put it in after it has cooled a bit. One of the problems with drinking hot liquid with a straw is that if you drink it in too fast the hot liquid may burn the back of your throat rather than just your tongue. Usually when you sip something hot if it is real hot you may burn the tip of the tongue but burning the whole mouth or throat while drinking though a straw would be painful.
