How to change my address for mail online?

I recently moved and where I used to live, there was a house and apartments in the back. I lived in the house and had no apartment number unlike the building in the back that had 3 apartments. When I would receive mail, it was just the address of the house and no apartment number. When I tried changing my address online, it said I was missing an apt/unit #. What can I do?? And I need it done soon because the landlord said she was going to get rid of the mail boxes...

It is not required to do it online. If the system is having a malfunction then you have to do it in another way. Even if you submit online mail is not forwarded instantaneously. There is still processing time.

Don't do it online. File a paper change of address and mail it to the postmaster of your old zip code.
