How does a guitar strap that is attached to a guitar get tangled?

For the guitar minions. They come when they are not watched and tangle your strap. You cannot see them, they are invisible. But they come to lazy guitar players who do not get their straps tight when they leave their guitar.

For the same reason that leaving a pair of untangled earphones, going to the loo and when you come back they are tangled.
