Well first off, depending who you ask, Buddhism either has one or no deities so it's probably a Hindu god you're thinking about

Probably. Those religions have a lot of Gods fighting. It's what they do in religious circles, besides sacrifice and rape people in voodoo trances. And don't let that guy try to talk you into believing that there aren't any evil monks out there.
