Trump told reporters he has the votes to pass the Graham-Cassidy bill so why didn't they vote on it and pass it?

Trump lies and makes stuff up, he is not trust worthy.

If they thought they had the votes, they would put it to a vote. Some times politicians lie / bend the truth.

Because he's lying and Republicans don't want to look like fools!

That's not what I heard him say.

I heard him say that it's worth the effort to try and pass it if it looks like they are only 2 or 3 votes short.

Trump wants republicans to do as he says and destroy any and all of ACA/Obamacare. If he tried to do something healthy and helpful the country would be better off.
