what? Your mom KNOWS if you were or not, there is no "possibly". First get that information from her and then find out the court where the adoption took place and then if you're an adult you can ask for the court record can be opened so you can write to your real parents and see if they want to talk to you or not. And the adoption agency could give that letter to them. But I'm thinking maybe your mom was just joking with you.

My mother used to tell me this to see if I was paying attention to what she was saying.

if you mail me a urine sample i could tell your nationalities by the taste or if they're strong nationalities like Belarusian or Namibian i could tell them just by the smell

I think that your Mom was joking with you. Were you perhaps 'being a little sod' at the time ?
Adopted of not, I don't the possibility is anything to worry about. Most of the population don't have a clue who their actual parents are, and once their direct ancestors have passed away, there's not much chance of finding out.
Just try to be happy that whoever you ancestors were, you were the product of a joyful 15 minutes of insane passion, during which the brain has stopped operating correctly, and the body has thrashed itself to exhaustion, for reasons that it is still wondering why.

Your nationality is your citizenship and nothing else. If you were adopted find out more from your mother your biological ancestry. . Nowadays, people who adopt children have a profile of the birth mother and sometimes know who she is.
I have a funny feeling when she made the statement you were acting up and she was trying to say "you can't be mine."

Your mom says you could "POSSIBLY" be adopted? Seems like SHE would know for certain.

I think you can pay Ancestry.com for a nationality test. My cousin did that. I think it was around $100
