    Pythagorean lang yan.

    Shortest distance = √(7² + 24²) = 25 meters

    If he walks the shortest path home from school that's a hypotenuse of a right triangle with a height of 13 + 11, and a width of seven.

    So (13 + 11)^2 + (7)^2 = (hypotenuse)^2, from the Pythagorean Theorem:

    Thus sqrt(576 + 49) = h,

    so h = 25 meters. (That's the shortest distance from his school to his home.)

    Note: The height is the distance from the store to the school or the home to the park. It's the same distance.
