129. I'm sure merong shortcut dito. Pero nagawa ko namang i-solve, mahaba nga lang.
AD² + DC² = 25² .................... [1]
BD² + 16² = DC² .................... [2]
9² + BD² = AD² ...................... [3]
At [1]:
DC² = 25² - AD² ..................... [4]
[4] →[2]:
BD² + 16² = 25² - AD²
BD² + AD² = 369 ................... [5]
Solve using [5] and [3]:
[Equation 3] ........................ BD² - AD² = -81
[Equation 5] ........................ BD² + AD² = 369
Add both equations to cancel AD².
The result should be:
2 BD² = 288
Divide both sides by 2.
BD² = 144
BD = 12 ........................... [Ans.]
