I believe so because virtually every culture talks about them in ancient texts in a matter of fact way.
Plus there are a lot of building structures of this time that use oversize stones too heavy to lift easily, and mankind has traditionally used stones easily handled to construct buildings. It's just more convenient that way.
The problem is that the evidence is disappearing. Bones have been found - and teeth, but in virtually all cases the authorities are alerted and they are removed. This is a common theme. There was even a report of several being taken to the Smithsonian institute, but were somehow lost. Maybe true maybe not but the story is there.
We don't need to say they were 20 feet tall - just a lot larger than the rest of the people at the time.
If it is down to genteics then those alive today would have many generations of breeding with 'normal' sized people, so are probably smaller than their ancestors. Even though - would you pick a fight with Andre?

Their skeletons have been found all over the world. Every culture in history writes about them. Mythology explains them which prompts me to believe that mythology is real and not a myth or lie.

I have seen a few Skeletons that suggest they existed. For some strange reason nobody ever seems to test them for DNA to see if they are Human. I personally suspect they are Bigfoot.

There are instances of gigantism among the human population, just as there are some unfortunate instances of cyclopia, as most people who have worked long enough in neonatal care can tell you. There is no anthropological or biological evidence that any kind of civilization of either of them has ever existed, though.

Well, ..., it's certainly possible. There are enough legends that it is certainly possible. There is also a congenital defect known as giant-ism and some of the medieval legends concerning giants may have evolved from people with disease.

One did - his name was 'Andre' - and appeared in the film, "The Princess Bride"...
But, sadly, he's passed away.
And, there's a lot of basketball players over 7' tall. But, there's no evidence of a 'race' of giants existing.
