problem in finding job?
I am 55 old, I have a problem in finding a job,I have very good experiance in telecom and electrical control panel,with training certificated from famous universities as Ericsson and Alcatel,my problem is all companies I applied to join them refused me,their excuse is iam old,a I?what I can do? I am still in good health and shape?any advice????

But can you do something that is in demand but which young people are not learning.
I changed jobs at age 59 to live closer to my aging mother who needed me to care for her. 1400 miles closer. Even now at 66 I still work part time for them and help train 2 young people. People that took a long time to find.
I design electronic hardware, specifically analog gear for the professional audio market. It seems young people mainly want to be programmers, likely because it is a glamorous field that can pay well. So as long as I want, I work 20 to 30 hours a week at $45 an hour though I could have afforded to retire years ago. Sure the young ones make less money but in a 5 hour day and even surfing the net for an hour I can still out produce one and sometimes both of our 20 somethings.
As for the company, they hired me as they spent 3 years looking for someone like me with 35 years experience but 25 years old. In the mean time using consultants all over Canada and the US for more money and taking way longer to develop anything.
My point is you have to keep looking for a job where there is a shortage of young people. An area with no glamor.

IF THEY ARE ACTUALLY TELLING YOU ARE TOO OLD YOU HAVE A LAW SUITE THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW
