Christians: Why do many of you struggle to understand the difference between an assertion and a fact?

You keep claiming that your cult is 'true' and that your 'god' thing is a fact, yet you can't seem to bridge the gap between assertion and fact.

Is it because you aren't educated or do you just think lying is going to magically make things true?

Update:

Always amusing how you lot dodge the actual question... just proves my point that you're all dishonest.

What about evidence do you not understand?

We have more Witnesses to our assertions than you have! Guess who wins?

Yes they assert their bias beliefs on people and still fail to win the debate in the end like always. Christians NEVER could win in a debate or argument.

I know the difference between the two. If it is somethin you want to believe, it is a "fact". If it is somethin you do not want to believe it is an "assertion" regardless of all the evidence and "facts" to support it.

Classic example would be you refusal to acknowledge the fact that God exist. You simply ignore and reject all the evidence and then decide that belief in him is just an "assertion" and not a fact.

But that is just your assertion, is it not?

  • I do not "assert"... I will offer The Truth to those open to hearing it.... if it is not accepted... nothing I can do about that.... I will remain silent and move on

Every field of human study has assertions that are accepted as fact!

Which means that a for a pure atheist education is not possible.

Take math, it is an accepted fact that a negative number squared yields a positive number. But can that be proven? No, it can not be proven. It even causes problems when a situation arises that falls out side of this rule. So math has the concept of i and absolute value that allows the resolution of a formula that results in a number that will not work because of that rule.

So many of the antagonists of Christianity are like the student that asks how many molecules to a mole of gravity (?)!

Both mole and gravity are accepted scientific terms. But because they are from different sciences there is no calculated way to give an answer. No one has actually counted the molecules in a mole. But the number works. No one can provide a gram of gravity or a cubic meter of gravity. But the concept works. Both are assertions that must be accepted by the student to pass the courses.

Just because you do not have the intellectual background to work with the givens of religion does not negate religion!

That’s how we feel about your cult. I understand you are not educated when it comes to the Bible. That’s your choice, and true followers of Jesus Christ are not angry with how you feel. So why do you care that others can make choices they want.

I've met the Holy Spirit. That's a fact!
