Was Colombo a mediocre genius?

    If there is one obvious suspect who has gone to elaborate lengths to cover up their crime, then Columbo is the man you want. I'm not sure he'd be so good at solving (for example) a drive-by shooting.

    He was a good genius. He just takes his time, to make sure he has all the facts.

    It was a show written by a bunch of writers to entertain people for an hour. Colombo is a fiction. Actually I got the series to rewatch it, and found it to be totally boring. It just got old with his one more thing shtick.
