Best Halloween memories? First costume, favorite ritual, etc.?

1. Ever year has always brought an awesome Halloween, but the year I was ten was the best. I had gotten grounded from going trick or treating, but at the last minute my parents changed their minds. I didn't have a costume so my step mom got creative, I ended up walking the streets as a rock star singer, it was the best costume I had ever had.

2. My first costume was the yellow teletubby when I was maybe seven months old.

3. Every year I watch a few movies with my maternal grandma, I have been doing this since age 13. However I always start celebrating Halloween on the fifteenth, sometimes the whole month. I like what the Disney channel does, the whole month of October is called monstober and its filled with Halloween themes, and every weekend plays a Disney original Halloween movie, yesterday it was bunks. I'm not sure if they mostober anymore since I kinda stopped watching tv and just use Netflix now. I always start in mid October and every night watch a halloween movie, but only on Halloween will I watch scarry movies.

I have a pick of me in my first cheesy costume in 1970. I was a horrifying looking rabbit with a paper mask, I still don't know what possessed my mother to buy it, but I love that picture.

Horror movie marathons with friends and/or family

All those cute Halloween shows & specials & movies, as a kid and as a parent. Love marathoning those, I still do though every year even though my youngest is 16 lol!

Scrapbooking the photos after the season is always a blast in itself.

One of my son's 1st time trick-or-treating... he was stunned when a neighbor came out and threw a piece of candy in his pumpkin.... then he would knock apprehensively and hold it out... then as the night progressed he would run on ahead up to the next doors, we could barely catch up.

By the time he was running up to doors, pounding with two fists screaming, "I WANT CANDY!!!" we knew it had gotten to be too much for him and had to go home.

Just fun stuff.

My favorite memory is the time my sister and her friend dressed like Milli Vanilli. They worked so hard, braiding their wigs, finding just the right makeup foundation. Yes, they went in what is considered black face, but they were innocent and didn't know any better. They thought they were being authentic. And damned if they didn't look it. Maybe it's unPC of me but it still makes me laugh. What are some of your favorite Halloween memories?

No-one here really does anything on Hallowe'en.

It's just for little kids to go trick-or-treating, but last year I only saw about five kids in total.
