My boyfriend thinks I’m hot with no makeup and glasses?

So I wear contacts and sometimes at night I’ll put my glasses on when my contacts are out. My boyfriend has never seen me irl with glasses and no makeup (not that I wear a ton, but I wear a natural look), because everytime I hang out with him I always have makeup on and contacts in. When I snapchat him with no makeup and glasses, he always says I look hot. I don’t get it haha, wouldn’t he think I look hotter with makeup and myself all done up in a nice outfit? He does call me hot when I’m all ready and stuff, but he REALLY likes my glasses look lol. I might look “cute” maybe with glasses, but hot? I’m not complaining, I’m very flattered he thinks this but someone please explain why haha?

P.S. when someone calls someone hot does that mean they find them arrousing in that moment because personally I call my boyfriend hot when he’s turning me on (he’s hot all the time but like.. you know what I mean lol)
