Do i have electronic shocks on my truck?
I am looking for shocks for my 2000 silverado 1500 and i see some that say " not for trucks equipped with electronics suspension or shocks" but i have no idea if i have that. Its a 2000 so im assuming not but i have no idea

And that is why you shouldn't be trying to buy parts on line for your vehicle.
Go to an advance Auto store and have them look up the choices you have to choose from for your shock replacement. If you don't drive the truck there write down the year, make, model, motor size, number of lug nuts on a wheel, and if it's 2WD or 4WD
Do you have an oxyacetylene torch to use if the bottom shock bolts are frozen?

Some models had the "Atoride" electronic suspension option and some didn't. It was standard on the 4wd Z71 and an option on other models so it should be listed on the vehicle data plate. The RPO code is Z55. The inside of the glove box should have a sticker labeled something like "Service Parts Identification - Do Not Remove". There could be 40 or more codes listed. If Z55 isn't one of them then you don't have Autoride on your truck.
