How can I get my point across without creating more drama at school?

So I used to be friends with this group of people but I found out they were laughing and making jokes about me so I stopped messing with them. So yesterday all of the people that I stopped being friends with called me saying how they weren't talking about me and how it was all a misunderstanding and how we're all still cool. However their friend, that informed me of them talking about me still stands her ground and is telling me that they were definitely being shady and talking about me behind my back. She also had just gotten off of the phone with the girl who said we were still cool and J let me know that she said I wasn't going to confront her about it anyway and that she doesn't care about it being disrespectful. So now I want to say something and confront the situation but I want to do so without any drama being started or without it being a situation that was blown out of proportion

The drama has already been created. Just confront her about it without being aggressive and do it in person.
