Acoustic guitar performers - recs on a sound hole pickup?

After years of retirement from performing, I'm (completely nuts and) working on a little set for a local open mic thing for fun. Using a Yamaha FG800. Thinking about a SD Woodie, but will waddle into a good local music shop to mess wit stuff. No way I'm gonna get an acoustic-electric. Yeah, I can mic it, but please help on gear. Thanks!

Update:

Thanks for most of the responses. Tommy and Mikey both went right after it, and BA to Tommy by the flip of a coin. Follow-up Q coming next...

Danny, as I see it, the problem with "sound hole" pickups is that they're magnetic and don't fully capture the acoustic properties. Have you considered a K&K Pure Mini Pick-Up? Not a "soundhole" pickup, but a minimally invasive permanent mount with 3 transducers and an end-pin plug. A friend has one installed in his Martin, and it sounds great. They get top ratings on the acoustic forums.

It depends on the guitar tone. I like the Dean Markley Pro-Mag (Plus), and Sunrise.

Hello, Pt1 sorry to have to send you this way but I dont know any other way to contact you.

You seem to be level headed and fair so here we are...You responded to my questions about what to do with a a level 7 user that is using his ( I assume its a man) to delete my questions, send them all to the gay/lesbian section, post name calling. He has been at this for a few days now,I would consider this user 'the Talking Snake' to be abusing his level 7 powers. Just today, he deleted two questions about how to deal with this and yesterday redirected other questions to the LGBT section.

The L.R. Baggs M1 Active Soundhole Pickup W/ Volume Control seems like a pretty good deal. Fishman also makes some fine soundhole pickups. Good luck!
