I used to love tall horses and most hunters I rode were over 16HH. But the older I get, the shorter I like them. I now think 14.2 is the perfect height.... It's all personal taste and even that shifts with time. My current horse I ride most is 16.2 and he's too tall. Always need a mounting block and in the woods those are hard to find. I also have one who is 14.2 and he is JUST RIGHT!!

Mostly, we use normal height horse for the riding . I think it can be heighten for us.
