    Anything that is excessive. Use things such as soy sauce, fish sauce, peppers, and other very strong flavors to a small degree.

    Anise, cardamom, cumin, fennel... that sort, the strong flavors that you either like, or don't like.

    Anise especially for me. Just yuck.

    TOO MUCH of any herbs or spices can ruin a good soup. sometimes it is more of trial and error to see what you like and don't like. like don't put tarragon or oregano in onion soup.

    none that I know of.

    Different cultures use different combination of herbs and spices so just about all spices and herbs have been used in a soup at some point.
