Gtx 1080 very low FPS Issue?

I own the Asus gtx 1080 triple fan. I attempt to run a variety of games and it is always very low Fps. For £500 I want at least 100FPS on BeamNG Drive etc. I get 30FPS though :( this is on lowest resolution. Is this normal?

I worked my ads off for this you so I want results. My components are i7 6700, Asus z170 mobo, samsung ssd, 16GB 3000mhz RAM and 3TB HDD

    check the adequacy of your power supply.

    I'm not going to bother digging into it too much, but I do know beamNG is an indie game that is still considered Early access/Beta. Your results may vary, just because you have great hardware doesn't mean it's going to work well with a crappy little game like BeamNG.
