The force on the top left has y component = 3.0N

The force on the right has y component = 0

The force on the bottom has y component = -3.0N

    Total of y components Fᵧ = 3.0 + 0 + (-3.0) = 0

The y component of acceletration aᵧ is given by Fᵧ = maᵧ. So it is zero.
