Why do people on here ask questions they could easily google on their own?

Because they are lazy or stupid.
It's really funny, I can answer many (perhaps most) of the questions by going to google (but better to wikipedia). I get the answer in a few seconds from a source I trust.
The users here wait sometimes hours for an answer that could well be completely wrong.

Google is typically wrong!
Yes they give an answer, but it's not really correct.
For instance, what is 20.0 divided by 9.0?
Google says 2.222222222222222
BUT the real answer is 2.22
Google gives an answer, but typically not the correct answer!

Perhaps they cannot UNDERSTAND the Google answer--- someone here might word it differently in a form they CAN understand.

Why come here to create a topic about Googling it if you could not find this topic on Google? Meaning Google does not have every answer hence people come here to create them also the topics created here end up on Google so everyone wins.

Because they are phoney questions posted by Yahoo's keepers to keep a failing system alive.
Go to physics and you will find countless questions on projectile motion all placed there by level one users who often have just placed their very first question. Suspicious or what!
