The real question is who pays for "free" college?

  • The worthless idiot obama wants the american worker to pay for all the free loaders.

I believe that tuition should be paid for for all veterans, just as we did after the Second World War. It was the GI Bill that enabled our greatest generation to come home and build the great society every American enjoys. We should do no less today. Certainly we should also enable young citizens to access affordable postsecondary education through bursaries based on academic results, perhaps a descending amount based on a percentage of their GPA. I would rather see my tax dollars spent on that than on some of the outrageous boondoggles that Washington seems so fond of. My grandparents paid for my BScn and MA, but few young people have such wealth and enlightened families. Education should be accessible for all. That's what made and will keep America great.

no. 'free' would debase the value. we'd end up with the same kind of goofy perpetual 'fake students' lolling around and protesting like some idiotic Eurotrash.

Eh. Hard to say. Considering that jobs that don't require further training/education are disappearing fast, it seems that college is necessary for the future. The system definitely needs an overhaul, but I'm not sure if just making it free is it.

Yes, an educated America is a free America.

YES, but only public colleges should be free. After all, it is educating young people.
