Help?! I want to try cheer and swim?
I'm a competitive swimmer, but I want to try out for my school cheer teams. I have swim practice 6 days a week, for 2 hours (I go to most practices.) but I want to try cheer. I think it would be an awesome sport, and I could make new friends because I really need more. (I only have one close friend.) I've done dance and gymnastics before, so I have an understanding about cheer. The thing is, i don't know if my parents would accept me doing cheer. I want to be a CHEERLEADER AND SWIMMER. But I don't know how I would do both when I'm so busy with swim?

Find out from the coaches if you can do both. Ask what the required skills are for cheer team. If you don’t have those skills you can get out for fun, but realistically will not make the team. You can always do swim and spend a year building your skills for the future. Try a trampoline and tumbling class that would help you with skills for diving as well as cheer.
