    Wg = -m*g*h = 750kg * 9.8m/s² * 4.1m = -30 135 J

    and you might not need the sign in your answer -- it might be understood to be negative.

    Wt = increase in KE - Wg

    Wt = ½ * 750kg * (1.25² - 0.25²)m²/s² + 30135 J = 30 698 J
