Why do people ask questions about the Holy Trinity and Trinitarianism but block the users who can answer them?
Without honest answers, such questions are merely an echo chamber for their own ideas.

Interesting question. A case in point, yesterday there was a question posted. “Was the "Christian" trinity the very first trinity god invented by mankind”?
One of the JWs answering the question used dubious information in their answer posting a picture of Hindu & Egyptian triads in an attempt to ‘prove’ that the trinity doctrine had Pagan origins, this of course is a false assumption and displays a total lack of both Biblical & Historical Knowledge.
I answered the question pointing out where this reasoning was fallacious to say the least, complete with the historical evidence to prove it.
I in no way ran foul of, or broke, any community guidelines, but I notice this evening that the answer in question has been edited, the picture removed and replaced with another, and my answer has been removed obviously at their request. I find it very sad that the JWs feel the need to descend to this tactic.
It displays both a lack of honesty, and an inability to discuss the Bible with anyone that can answer their questions and prove them wrong. It also displays their total insecurity with their own beliefs.
This has happened to me twice in two days. With valid answers removed that nullify their claims. I am currently in the process of writing to YA to point out how regularly this happens.
To use a closing quote by a Jehovah’s witness on here “In other words, they want to play the game their way, or not at all.”
Shame on you!
Edit.
Not to worry, at least I proved him wrong about the picture, otherwise he wouldn't have felt the need to change it for something equally dubious, but totally different.
Tim. I seem to remember it ran to 69 comments because you were beaten, so kept attempting to change the subject. Which as we all know is a jw tactic.
Edit: to Teem
I notice that teem has included a picture of Horus-Isis & Osiris in a misguided attempt to prove a Pagan connection with the Christian Trinity. He seems blissfully unaware that there is no comparison whatsoever. Isis a female goddess, Osiris husband of Isis & Horus son of Isis & Osiris. Osiris married his sister Isis and Isis conceived a child Horus.
In fact, to attempt to link The God of Christianity with this paganism is Blasphemy.
What is not understood by the JWs, is that the main problem that they have in trying to claim that there are some vague similarities between the Christian Trinity & some aspects of pagan triads. Is that they actually condemn much of their own beliefs as pagan too.
If the Watchtower were to use the same criteria that they use to judge the Trinity as pagan, they would also have to condemn the resurrection of Jesus, baptism, the concept of the Logos, the flood account in Genesis, the Jewish temple and tabernacle, the doctrine of Satan, the Lord's supper, the creation account, etc., as many pagan cultures spoke of these things before the Jews recognized them and before the coming of Christianity.
There are significant differences between the Biblical concepts and the pagan one's. The same is true of the Trinity. But according to watchtower reasoning, all the above-mentioned beliefs should be rejected as pagan because they reject the Trinity on the same grounds. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot.
Further to this there is a marked similarity Between watchtower theology & Paganism in that the watchtower pantheon is jam-packed with ‘SUBORDINATE’ gods.
The pagan Greeks and Romans believed that there is one supreme god and many lesser ones. Only one of these 'many gods' is uncreated; the others are his works. This Sounds very similar to the paganism within Watchtower theology to me.
Edit to Tim
Perhaps Tim would be so good as to remind me of the Answer about John the Baptist that he says I have failed to answer and the context in which it was asked.
Edit to Tim.
Tim, I would gladly answer your question about John the Baptist or anything else you care to ask. But more important than you asking me Questions are the Questions that the Bible asks you. Are you born again Tim? Because without that experience in your life you will neither see nor enter the kingdom of God and you are condemned already (John 3:1-20). When did this event take place in your life Tim?
All the Christians on these boards could tell you when this event took place in their lives (I can give you the exact time and date for myself, 25th Feb 1975 @ 7:45pm.), and without that experience you have no hope for the future either on a paradise earth or anywhere else. Do you have the assurance promised in the Bible Tim, that you can know that you are a child of God? (Rom 8:16).
I would be happy to pray with you that you may experience peace with God.
edit to Tim.
Remember the song "Its only words" Tim?
The Pharisees were like you, They had read all the books & Knew all the words. But Both Nicodemus & Paul who was a Pharisee of the Pharisees, Had to come to a personal relationship with Jesus . When did that happen to you Tim?
Edit to Tim.
Looking through Tim’s edit, it becomes obvious that he is totally confused as to what the Bible clearly teaches about salvation & Being ‘born again’. If we consider the growth & spread of the NT church in (Acts 2:14-40) (Acts 8:5-25) (Acts 8:26-39) (Acts 16:25-34) & (Acts 18:1-8). We notice that in each case salvation & Baptism were instantaneous.
No Months of studying ‘watchtower’ literature. No Baptism in association with ‘God’s spirit-directed organization’, {which is in total opposition to what Jesus taught in Matthew 28:19}.
No 100+questions to be answered before baptism.
No Coming to the ‘Organization’ for salvation.
And no foolish teaching about 144,000 faithful .
Notice, these things aren’t mentioned, not even once. They are found in ‘watchtower’ literature, and in the minds of Jehovah's witnesses, but not in the Bible. No wonder Tim is confused.
No wonder, he confesses that “God’s spirit has NOT borne witness with my spirit that I have been called and chosen”, because “the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14). Please note, the Bible warns about our minds being corrupted from the SIMPLICITY that is in Christ. (2 Cor 11:3-4).

I guess it's for the same reason, Trinitarians ask questions about Jehovah's Witnesses and then block Jehovah's Witnesses from answering.
.
==============
Edit:
One trinitarian explained to me, that God was like a family.
One family made up of the father, the son, and the wife/mother.
Based upon his example / idea, this picture represents the Christian trinity. A Father, a Son, and a Wife / Mother.

They're insecure hypocrites. This sounds like what happens with cults - Jehovah's Witnesses do this. They don't want answers. They want to repeat and have other like-minds repeat what they already believe, which just cements it further as truth in their minds even if it isn't. They aren't interested in actual answers and block dissenting voices, especially all who could use the very Bible they claim to believe in to disprove their beloved beliefs.

That sounds like JWs, who ask a question only to create a platform for their fellow JWs' propaganda. They seem to have laid off blocking other responders, but a few years ago I was blocked by most JWs.
"Echo chamber" is an apt description. Such people want to eliminate dissenters, hoping that those who read only confirmation of their claims will be convinced that they're valid. Pathetic.

Because what they really want is to see confirmation of their own lack of belief in the Trinity. They play a silly child's game.

Christers complaining about other slightly different christers is always charming.
Thats how cults develop & operate, bro.

It's obvious that people who ask questions, then block people who can answer, are hypocrites, and they really don't want answers; they want people to pat them on the back and tell them what a good job they did.
- Anonymous3 years ago
They're very insecure people. They're only looking for validation of their opinion.
