That depends on how militant the vegan is.
Why, are you planning on being a jerk to a vegan? Don't do that. If the person is pursuing a vegan lifestyle out of an urge to do right by the world, what good is it to antagonize them for the inevitable shortcomings of their plan? Leave them be. At least they're trying to do something good which is more than you, sneering at them, can claim.
